Experienced Cleaning Professional

Overview - Seeking an experienced, reliable cleaning professional with expertise across residential homes, commercial spaces, apartment turnovers, and vacation rental turnovers. The ideal candidate delivers high quality, consistent cleaning, follows checklists and property specific protocols, communicates professionally with clients and team members, and can manage time independently to meet tight turnaround schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning for residential homes, offices, retail spaces, apartment units, and vacation rentals according to property type and client requirements.

• Execute detailed apartment turnover and vacation rental turnovers, including deep cleaning, linen/towel handling, bed-making to property standards, inventory checks, restocking amenities, and reporting damages or maintenance needs.

• Follow standardized cleaning checklists and property specific instructions to ensure consistent quality and compliance with client or platform requirements.

• Use appropriate cleaning methods, tools, and commercial grade products safely and efficiently; maintain and store supplies and equipment properly.

• Empty trash and recycling; sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas.

• Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and handle light upholstery cleaning and window cleaning as required.

• Report and document any property damage, maintenance issues, missing items, or safety hazards immediately through the company’s reporting system.

• Maintain professional communication with clients, property managers, and team members regarding access, special requests, and turnover timing.

• Manage time effectively to meet scheduled appointments and turnovers, including last-minute bookings or same-day turnovers when required.

• Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and COVID-19 or other health related procedures as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ professional cleaning experience across one or more of the following: residential, commercial, apartment turnovers, vacation rental turnovers.

• Demonstrated experience preparing rental properties for guest arrivals, including bed-making to specified standards and restocking supplies.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with reliable transportation and punctuality.

• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks: bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods.

• Basic familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safe handling, and proper dilution/use of commercial cleaning products and equipment (vacuum, floor scrubbers, steamers).

• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

• Ability to use smartphone apps for scheduling, checklists, and reporting (training provided if needed).

• Background check and references required. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Preferred

• Certification or training in professional cleaning, hospitality, or property turnover processes.

• Experience with short-term rental platforms’ cleanliness standards.

• Experience working with linens, laundry, and inventory management.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings; availability for same-day or last-minute turnovers is an advantage.

• Travel between client properties within service area.

• Work performed indoors and outdoors; exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures.
